Well, the festive season is finally behind us, and to be honest I’m breathing a long sigh of relief. The build up to Christmas can be really stressful and tension-raising for a lot of people, and there is a sense of calmness now that the day itself is over.
That said, Christmas Day was actually rather lovely this year. Of course it wasn’t without it’s hiccups, things did go wrong, arguments did break out, but where does that not happen? We spent our evening shouting like idiots at the television watching Catchphrase, and trying to explain to my father that ‘Christmas Goose’ is not in fact a catchphrase, just two words. (In case you’re wondering, the catchphrase they were looking for was ‘Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat’.) So naturally, in typical Pugh-O’Callaghan style, we decided to order the Catchphrase board game. We’re a tad obsessed with board games here, and we ordered a few more this Christmas! P.S. I’m desperately looking for someone to teach me how to play Dungeons and Dragons for the last 10 or so years so if someone can help me by DMing me on twitter or Instagram, I might just love you forever.
In January, I set the intention that 2017 would be my year for ‘Health and Wellness’, and my goodness, the progress I have made this year is a testament to that. I still have a way to go but I absolutely know that I will get there.
I have so many goals and aspirations for this New Year, some highly unrealistic but hey, you never know what the year might bring right? New Year is actually one of my favourites times of the year because it’s all about new beginnings and fresh starts. Motivation is high and everyone is full of hope for the year ahead. I absolutely love to use the Happiness Planner’s printable on their websites to reflect on the past year and plan for the year ahead. It’s so important to really look at the qualities and skills you want to enhance in 2018, as well as setting your goals and things you want to accomplish.
I have a lot of New Year’s content planned so do be sure to tune in for that. There are so many exciting collaborations coming for this blog in 2018, and I just cannot wait to share them with you! I would love to know how you got on over Christmas in the comments below! And what are your plans for the New Year?
I’ll see you guys really soon in the next blog post! There are going to be (hopefully!!) five posts a week minimum in the New Year so stay tuned!
