The Basics of the Law of Attraction

The law of attraction is the belief that like attracts life. It is the belief that you have full control over your life and your circumstances, and that everything you have and everything you have ever experienced, you have attracted into your life.

I am a big believer in the law of attraction and although I am by no means an expert at manifesting, I think I’m really starting to become a powerful magnet for the Universe, and it’s such an amazing feeling!

Believing in the Law of Attraction has calmed my anxiety and given me a sense of personal power that I am prepared for everything, and am capable of getting myself out of any problems I may have manifested into my life.

I’ve had a lot of people asking me how to use the Law of Attraction. To put it really simply, there are there main components to it. They are:

  1. Ask.
  2. Believe.
  3. Receive.

Surely it can’t be that simple? Yes and no. Yes, because those are the three steps you need to take to manifest. No, because there are a lot of issues that can crop up for you, like letting go, believing and some people even have trouble seeing signs and synchronicities and so give up. In my own words, I’m going to try and explain how this three step process works as simply as I can. And certainly if there is demand for more Law of Attraction based content, I can go into much much more detail!

Step 1: Ask.

This is the easiest step in my opinion. All you have to do is ask the Universe for what you would like. I would recommend starting off with something small (basically don’t try and manifest £1,000,000 on your first try). Normally, I ‘ask’ in the past tense, which sounds confusing, but really just means expressing gratitude that you already have what you want. Feel the emotions you would feel having this thing in your life, and get yourself into that high vibration of being so happy and excited. Use the words “I am so happy and grateful now that ……” and fill in the blanks. Gratitude is the most essential part in this step, as if you do not show gratitude for what you have, the Universe will see it that you don’t need anything else in your life.

Step 2: Believe.

The believe part is where most people seem to have trouble. You need to believe without a shadow of a doubt that your manifestation is coming to you. You can take steps towards helping it come, but it won’t if you don’t believe that it is 100% happening for you. If there is any doubt in your mind about whether or not the law of attraction works, or that maybe it’s not meant for you, those thoughts are contradictory to your manifestation and will cancel each other out, resulting in no change. Raising your vibration is a great thing to do during the ‘believe’ stage and if you would like any blog posts on how to raise your vibration I will definitely do that!

Step 3: Receive.

This sounds like the easiest part, and yet a lot of people find themselves not allowing what they want into their lives. Receiving means making the room in your life for what you’re asking for and living as if you already have it and feeling those vibrations. You need to allow it into your life and let go of any negative thoughts you may have surrounding it.
