As someone who just doesn’t use fake tan, don’t ask me why I was so intrigued when I heard about Bellamianta’s ‘Self Tanning Tinted Lotion’. First things first, I was so happy to see that they offered a lighter option than they’re Dark Rapid Mousse product. That look looks absolutely amazing on some people, but just isn’t for me. Call me weird, but I quite like my
pasty pale skin. But every now and again, it’s nice to get a little bit bronzed, especially in the summer.
Now, here’s where I make things difficult for myself. I don’t like sunbathing, personally I find it a waste of time. If I’m on a holiday, I want to be out exploring the history and the culture and every attraction I can find. I can relax at home! Plus, I’m not the biggest fake-tanning lover. Back in the day, when I was about 16 and frequented the likes of Wrights Teenage Disco (god be with the days), I would always get a spray tan. I thought it looked more natural (it didn’t), and to be honest, I was too lazy to do it myself. Not to mention a lot of fake tans leave you smelling like a biscuit and looking like an orange. Not ideal.
Enter Bellamianta. I had seen some great reviews so I thought, why not give it a go? So I did!
Overall, I’m really impressed with this product. The first thing I have to mention is that I was completely shocked with how quickly it dried. It says dries in 60 seconds on the bottle, but I didn’t honestly believe it. It’s true though, and not a single drop of the product transferred onto my clothes, or my bedsheets. Thank god, because that was something I hated about spray tans. They just got everywhere!
Now, considering I am a complete and utter noob to the tanning world, one of my legs has ended up a shade darker than the other. This was entirely my fault, I put a huge amount of the product onto the tanning mit. I thought I’d need a lot of product to cover my whole leg. Again, I was completely wrong. You only need the tiniest amount for a bronzed glow. Next time I use it, I’m going to put an even smaller amount on, as I’ve come out a tiny bit darker than I would’ve liked. But seriously, I’m impressed! The product lasts so long as you only need the smallest bit, and it’s already affordable in my opinion. Especially for something where the quality is so good.
It smells kind of like how a normal spray tan would to me, only it’s much, much less powerful due to their use of odour neutralising technology. And no body around me can smell it. Which is always a plus!
There were absolute no streaks and the colour was still perfect after I had showered. It also doesn’t feel like I have any product on my skin, and my skin is still as hydrated as it was before using the product.
Something that I loved was how natural the product was. The ingredients include natural fruit extracts, such as mango, papaya and goji berries, combined with the use of the essential oil bergamot, sea buckthorn, and vitamin E which helps to firm, tone and heal the skin as well as provide an anti-ageing property.
Overall, I’m really impressed. Have any of you used Bellamianta before? Are you interested in them now? Let me know in the comments below!
