What’s up, guys! Today I’m going to be sharing with you the essential oils that I use on a day-to-day basis. Having said that, I won’t use all of these in the one day, as I would give myself a headache from all the different smells! But I will generally use two-to-three of these daily.

As I’m asthmatic, I have to carry my inhaler around with me everywhere I go. So I was really intrigued at DoTERRA’s Breathe Oil. You can rub it directly onto your chest (just avoid direct sunlight for 12 hours afterwards, I recommend putting it on at night), otherwise you can just hold it under your nose and inhale the scent. I find it very effective for giving some relief if I’m very congested because of a cold or hay fever. [disclaim]DISCLAIMER! I find my anxiety can really mess with my stomach and make me feel quite nauseous. DigestZen is an oil you can rub directly onto your stomach to ease and soothe digestive problems and stomach pain or nausea. Personally, I love it, but Aaron hates it and asks me to move away from him if I’m wearing it!! To each their own!
Balance is a combination essential oil. It is a blend of spruce, ho wood, frankincense, blue tansy and blue chamomile with fractured coconut oil. This oil states that it can help you ground yourself again and settle anxious feelings. I can’t say that I use it when I’m in particularly anxious situations. It isn’t one of my go-to oils when I’m having a panic attack. However, I love to use this oil if I feel I’m having a very stressful day or week and I can feel my anxiety starting to creep up on me. It is a very soothing scent that I like to use in the bath more than anything else.
Lavender has many so many different uses. I think it’s one of the most popular essential oils as people love it in candles and perfumes. It has powerful relaxation qualities and I generally dab some of the Tisserand version onto my pillow at night if I’m having trouble sleeping. I’ll also wave it under my nose and inhale and I find it can relieve chest tightness. I bought the DoTERRA version because lavender is also great on the skin if you get a bug bite or a rash. Lavender has very soothing properties, so just add a drop or two (I wouldn’t use any more) to the affected area everyday. If there is still no difference, consult your doctor.
Peppermint is one of my two favourite essential oils. There are lots of benefits of peppermint oil, mainly that it relieves digestive problems. It can be very soothing for nausea. I use the Tisserand version in my diffuser and I’ll rub the DoTERRA version just behind my ears at my pulse point and on my wrists. If it burns or irritates your skin at all do not continue use, but I find it fine for me.
This is another of my favourite scents. It reminds me of churches and old books. It’s such an expensive oil so I use it very sparingly, but I love to use it when I’m having baths or at night if I need to unwind. I find it very soothing for my anxiety and very calming.
I feel like lemon is a scent that everyone will love! It’s so fresh and summery. I find it’s very spiritually uplifting, as in if I’m feeling mentally drained or stressed, it gives me a little perk to get through the day.
