We all know that we should try to get as much fruits and vegetables into our diets as possible. But our haircare routines??
When I first came upon the brand YesTo, the first obvious thing that struck me was the fact that all of their products were inspired by different fruits and vegetables. They have a grapefruit range, blueberry, charcoal, carrots, coconuts, tomatoes… You name it! I did a big haul on my YouTube channel of lots of their products, so if you’re interested in looking into them, you can check that out here.
I had been looking for a new haircare routine for a while at this point, and I really wanted to find amazing high quality products that would work with my hair, but were also cruelty free. The first thing I tried from the brand was their YesTo Cucumbers Shampoo and Conditioner for Colour Protection. It was also a sulphate free shampoo, which was a huge plus.
The first thing that I have to note is that the smell was absolutely amazing. I never thought I could enjoy the smell of cucumber as much as I did, but it was honestly divine to wash my hair with. You can actually see the cucumber bits in the shampoo too. The shampoo I did find quite dry, almost a sticky consistency, and I was kind of turned off by this on my first try. But used in conjunction with the conditioner, which is very moisturising and silky smooth, I am so impressed.
The way this product combination has left my hair is extremely healthy, smooth and silky, with a really natural shine. I was so surprised to be honest because of how I originally felt about the shampoo and how affordable the product was.
Cucumbers are an amazing source of vitamins, especially vitamin K, C and B5, which will leave your hair so infused with nourishment and feeling incredibly healthy. I would recommend giving this combination a go to anyone who has coloured hair and wants to keep it long, thick, and healthy.
As a bonus, I thought I’d mention YesTo’s Cucumber Hypoallergenic Facial Wipes. They have absolutely nothing to do with your hair, but they are the softest, least abrasive face wipes I have ever used in my life. They’re incredibly soft on the skin and they don’t sting or irritate you at all, and I have particularly sensitive skin too.
Have you guys tried any YesTo products or the cucumber range in particular? Let me know! I’d love to know what kind of haircare routine you use.
