Liebster Award

Hello beautiful readers!! How are you all doing today?? Before we get into this post and answering some questions, I just want to wish all of my American friends and family a very happy Independence Day! I can’t actually believe it’s the 4th of July already! I hope you all have a fabulous time. For those of you who don’t know my mother is from San Francisco and has a lot of family still over in America so I just want to take a minute to wish everyone celebrating health and happiness. And if you’re not celebrating, I hope you too have an amazing day, because why not?!

Thank you to Yella Hawk and the Perfictionist Site for both tagging me for the Liebster Award! They have both made up a series of questions for me to answer, so without further ado I’m just going to jump straight into them!

Perfictionist Questions:

Q1. What is one piece of advice you wish you had listened to?
A1. Not to get a full fringe. It didn’t suit my round face shape, and I looked like some kind of peach.

Q2. If you were your favourite celebrity for a day, what would you do?
A2. To be honest, I don’t really have a favourite celebrity, but if I was any of them, I’d hire out Disneyland completely to myself and throw some kind of party with my closest family and friends. Why not??

Q3. If you were to throw a dinner party, what would be your starter, main course, and dessert?
A3. Okay, here’s the thing. Number one, I’m vegan – and the people I’m close to don’t tend to like my kind of food. Number two, I’m not that great a cook. If I wanted it to go well, I’d probably order takeout and call it a day. But, if I have to answer this question, here we go:

Starter: Vegan Spring Rolls
Main Course: Classic Stir Fry with Roasted Squash, Olive, Avocado and Rocket Salad
Dessert: Berry Scones with Vegan Cream

Also, all of these recipes are available and easy to find in the Deliciously Ella books.

Q4. What do you love most about blogging?
A4. The freedom! I like being able to write about whatever I want and having full creative control.

Q5. What bloggers would you love to meet in real life?
A5. Definitely Zoe Sugg, and also Josie from Fashion Mumblr.

Q6. Have you ever taken part in any extreme sports? (Sky diving, roller darby, skiing, etc).
A6. I have actually skydived in the past when I was 16 years old at 10,000 feet! Could I do it again now? I don’t think so. I used to be such an adrenaline junkie. But I would love to do it again, maybe in an exotic beautiful rainforest to really enjoy the birds eye view!

Q7. Who was your childhood celebrity crush?
A7. Draco Malfoy, and Gerrard Butler in The Phantom of the Opera. Also, the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. The animation. Yeah, I was that kid.

Q8. Have you ever shown your blog to family, friends, work colleagues, etc?
A8. Yes I have! I know some people like to keep it separate from their day-to-day lives but personally I don’t see the point.

Q9. Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen a ghost?
A9. Yes I definitely believe in ghosts! I think it would be ignorant not to, considering how much we don’t really know about our world. I’m not saying they definitely exist, but I think it’s important, regarding everything, to keep an open mind at all times.

Q10. If you could choose to go on any reality TV show, which show would you choose?
A10. I’m going to go with Hollywood Medium because I would love to meet Tyler!! He’s so incredibly talented and I love his work.

Q11. If you could design your own perfume, what would you call it? What colour would it be and what would its scent be?
A11. This is such a weird question for me to answer because I don’t actually wear perfume. I think I would make it from essential oils, it would smell like seductive jasmine root, it would be deep purple and I would call it Velaris. (P.S. if you get that reference, we’re probably going to be instant friends).

Yella’s Questions

Q1. What would a perfect Sunday morning look like for you?
A1. Ideally, it would start with reading in my bed for an hour or so. Then, a long meditation and yoga session. Ideally I would love to keep my mornings really chilled and zen.

Q2. What’s your all-time favourite book?
A2. This is like asking who my favourite child is. HOW DARE YOU!! Seriously, I can’t choose. Have a look at the books section of this blog for some more information on what kind of books I like to read if you’re interested, though!

Q3. What’s your biggest goal in life?
A3. Simply to be healthy, and happy. Our goals are constantly evolving as we are too evolving, but ultimately I want to be happy and in full health. Who doesn’t, right?

Q4. What do you love most about your blog?
A4. This is very like one of the questions above! I just love being able to have another creative outlet.

Q5. Who inspired you recently?
A5. Honestly? Feyre Archeron.

Q6. Which advice would you give someone who wants to start blogging?
A6. Always be unapologetically yourself. No one wants to see you pretending to be someone or something you are not. That gets really boring, really fast. And people can sense whether or not you’re being genuine.

Q7. What’s your favourite cocktail?
A7. Well to be honest, I don’t actually drink alcohol! I never have. I have tried one non-alcoholic cocktail in Portugal, I think it was a mix of grapefruit, lime, and cucumber! I’d definitely be up to trying more of them.

Let me know how you would have answered any of these questions! I’d love to know your perfect Sunday morning?

I loved this post, Shauna! My favourite cocktail is, without doubt, a Pornstar Martini. I also struggle when being asked what my favourite book is! May I add that I love Spring rolls (especially the Duck and Hoisin sauce one but I understand that you wouldn’t be able to eat that!)

The perfume name sounds like something from Game of Thrones… I could be wrong 😉

My perfect Sunday morning would be a cup of tea early on my balcony looking out at the sea, then a walk up for the papers come home and browse through them. Then a nice healthy brunch, Might sound boring but sometimes boring is good.!! x

I loved all the questions on this post! It was so nice to find out more about you! And I 100% agree that choosing a favourite book would be like choosing a favourite child haha!
